Mobile mechanic, 10yrs experience, workshop manager, race mechanic, cycle event mechanic. Give me a ring if you would like your bike working like a pro's.
I have been a mechanic for 14 years, starting in a high-end road shop based in Worthing, working my way up to workshop Manager here I cut my teeth on a vast array of bikes.
I then decided to hit the road, focusing on events all road based, from there I worked for the Surrey League team at the Ras in Ireland, this lead onto working for One Pro Cycling, with highlights being Tour De Yorkshire and the Tour of Britain.
I have a fully equipped work shop, I can collect, service and return your bike or alternatively I can come to you and service your bike at your home or place of work.
Your bike will get the Browns Bikes personal attention, using my years of experience and knowledge of bike tuning to insure your pride and joy is set up to its optimum level that when you ride, you can feel the difference.
I'm based in Worthing, West Sussex and can travel to you, either at your home or where you work within fifty or so miles.
Give me a ring if you would like your bike working like a Pro's.

Browns bikes supported our recent charity bike ride. Originally we hired Brown as we needed a bike mechanic and he came highly recommended. We feel very privileged to have been able to work with Brown as his knowledge and enthusiasm was invaluable and he assisted us before, during and after the event. He went over and above what we asked of him and has now become a good friend of charity. During our event Brown maintained all the bike ensuring their safety and also where needed he drove to the cyclist location and fixed on the spot issues. He has a vast knowledge of all bikes and nothing was too much trouble or unresolved. We have had so many messages of thanks to Brown since we returned saying thankyou for your support and hard work so we can confidently recommend him for any individual bike job or like us for something on a larger scale. We will definitely be booking him for next year.
Thanks for your support
I've worked alongside Brown several times and in all sorts of situations on events and seen, first hand, his knowledge, approach and skill base.
As a mechanic of three decades plus standing myself, I am very picky about who I'd allow to be work on my bike ... but Brown can work on it any day of the week - he's one of the very, very, good guys!
A complete overhaul, from cleaning, greasing and lubricating to fine tweaking of brakes and the all important gears.
Whether your brakes are caliper, cable or hydraulic disc, mountain or road bike, they need to be tuned to perfection to get the most from them.
Probably the most frustrating thing when riding is having badly adjusted gears. For most they'll have them 90% correct, but it's always that 10% that results in not enjoying your ride.
Sometimes the answer is not to keep tightening the headset, but maybe give it some TLC, in the shape of maybe new bearings and lubrication to bring some life back to the bike.
You've been looking forward to your race / sportive and what you DO NOT want is to end up by the side of the road with a mechanical. Bike preparation is so important to help you make the most or the event.
The Professionals don't true their own wheels but rely on someone who has the knowledge and experience to be sure their wheels are 100% true.
